quick recipe
The other day, I needed some inspiration for what to make for dinner. I turned to google and let my fingers do the talking. I stumbled on a recipe that was quick, tasty, and provided enough leftovers to have for dinner the next night. I give you Tator-Tot casserole:
- 1 lb. ground beef
- 1 can cream of mushroom soup
- 1 bunch of green onions
- 1 bag of tator-tots
- 1 cup of milk
- 1 cup of cheese
- salt and pepper to taste
Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Slice up the green onions. Brown the ground beef with half the onions. Drain the fat. Add the soup and milk. Simmer for 5-7 minutes. Pour into a 13x9 pyrex pan. Cover with tator-tots. Bake uncovered for 25 minutes or until tator-tots are of desired crispyness. Remove from oven, top with cheese, put back in oven until cheese is melted. Remove from oven, garnish with remaining green onions.
Serve with sour cream and/or ketchup.
